Hi,
Congress is giving hemp a breather as senators from both sides agreed to delay the ban on hemp products with trace THC for another year. In Europe, cannabis laws are a mixed bag. We included an analysis that shows that in 3 countries cannabis is fully legal, in 4 countries decriminalized, in 13 allowed for medical use, 8 other countries allow it with pharmaceutical rules and 16 still banning it outright. An op-ed warns that prohibitionists are now pushing for Schedule II rescheduling instead of III, which would throw cannabis under heavy federal control, shut out dispensaries, keep IRS rule 280E in place, and basically turn it into a pharma-only game. Fentanyl and crack cocaine are Schedule II by the way. Ouch! Well, That’s no place for the plant of cannabis and I don’t think the people or states would stand for that. :)
