Congressional researchers say a new federal bill, as worded, could wipe out all consumable hemp products like CBD by redefining hemp. Purdue Pharma’s $7.4B opioid settlement, aiming to pay victims and fund addiction programs while ending years of legal battles, got broad support from U.S. states. Everyone was talking about Texas banning hemp, but Governor Greg Abbott vetoed a bill that would have banned delta-8 and other hemp THC products. It’s looking like he’s interested in selling hemp like alcohol. Abbot also passed a law making Texas the 40th state that allows medical cannabis!
